FIRST-HAND GLOBAL INSIGHTS INTO OVERCOMING THE PANDEMIC
Welcome to this website which has two aims:
- To highlight links to authoritative primary-source documents and databases from international organisations and global players.
- To blog and swap stories with well-informed individuals in different parts of the world.
As COVID-19 has spread around the planet, many of us are striving to be the best we can be. We all are keen to harness our talents to support, encourage and inspire others.
One of the main things I would like to offer in this blog is my global perspective and outlook. This has been formed by viewing history in different parts of the world for the past 40 years while working for international broadcasters.
I have also taught journalism in several developing countries, including Ethiopia which I regard as my second home. All this means that although I love my native Britain, I have long regarded myself as a citizen of the world too. Sadly we know that the virus is no respecter of borders so we really are all in it together.
The purpose of this blog is to go beyond the flurry of disturbing and overwhelming headlines. I would like to create a constructive space to exchange first-hand global insights into tackling the pandemic and discuss what our world might look like afterwards.
